तमिल सिनेमा के जाने-माने निर्देशक, छायाकार और अभिनेता वेलु प्रभाकरन का शुक्रवार, 18 जुलाई 2025 को चेन्नई के एक निजी अस्पताल में निधन हो गया। वे 68 वर्ष के थे और पिछले कुछ समय से गंभीर रूप से बीमार चल रहे थे। उनके परिवार ने पुष्टि की है कि वे लंबी बीमारी से जूझ रहे थे और पिछले कुछ दिनों से ICU में भर्ती थे।

यह अंतिम विदाई उनके करीबी दोस्तों और परिवार की उपस्थिति में होगी।
